ACG DOUBLES MEMBERSHIP IN SIX YEARS

Association for Corporate Growth's Membership Continues Ascent as Record Mergers of $3.8 Trillion Benefit Member Firms

The Association for Corporate Growth, the premier professional organization focused on corporate growth, corporate development, and mergers and acquisitions, recently announced that it has surpassed 11,000 members.  The 53-year-old association has more than doubled its members of six years ago.

"ACG continues to provide unparalleled value to its members," said Daniel Varroney, president and CEO of ACG. "Our growth can be attributed to the strength of the ACG brand and the record dealmaking environment, strong chapter leadership, and programming. A record $3.8 trillion of deals in 2006 is impacting ACG's membership growth on a national and local level as dealmakers see the ACG community as a vital place to network with colleagues and discover good investments."

In the recent ACG/Thomson 2006 Year-End Dealmakers Survey, 93% of the 1,230 respondents characterized the current M&A environment as good or excellent - with almost half expecting further acceleration of activity in 2007.

"ACG is experiencing rapid growth in membership as dealmakers seek out competitive advantages in networking and deal flow generation amidst the current, feverish environment," said Paul Stewart, ACG Chairman and principal at PS Capital Partners LLC, a private equity firm. "Members are taking advantage of the countless Capital Connections and chapter events, and are looking to the upcoming ACG InterGrowth Conference, May 2-4 in Phoenix, to maximize their dealflow."

CEO FOCUS EVENT COMING IN APRIL

Join us Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at the Hyde Park Country Club for this year's CEO Focus Event: Private Equity - What do YOU need to know?  The event, sponsored by The Malibu Group will feature Dave Bauer, Lubar & Co. and Peter Boylan, Swander Pace Capital.

Business owners who attend the event will hear about some of the new trends in the private equity field - trends that will greatly impact the economy. In the last year, private equity firms have changed the face of business operations. Attendees will learn how private equity firms have put a higher priority on accountability and applying best practices, thus not only making companies more successful and competitive but also putting more money in the pockets of investors.

By recognizing this trend and keeping pace, business owners can ensure their competitors, many of which are now owned by private equity firms, don't move ahead of them. Speakers Dave Bauer and Peter Boylan will provide valuable insight and information that attendees can use to make their businesses stronger.

Professionals involved in all aspects of corporate growth, including chief executive officers, chief financial officers, investment bankers, investors, lawyers, bankers, accountants and deal makers of all types should plan to attend this informative session.

If you know of business owners who would benefit from attending and would like to have ACG send them a personal invitation on your behalf to this event, contact the ACG Cincinnati office at (866) 500-2242 or email at info@acgcincinnati.org.
